Daehan ETC: Daejon, South Korea                                                                       
1500 plus hours of middle school and adult instruction: materials developed focused on intensive novel study, essay classes, debating classes, drama classes and English interview classes.

Peer tutor course – in collaboration with school counsellor, develop a ‘Peer Tutor” credit course for Hastings Jr. high. Involved 3 hours extra-curricular peer counselling classes per week as well as regular class time.  Students were taught to utilize the peer counselling training to work with remedial students in a class they were proficient in.
District canoe instructor – developed a 3.5-hour introduction to canoeing course.  Delivered to 2000+ grade 5 students.

40-hour curriculum to prepare engineers for a career change to international marketing.  Presentation and negotiation simulations were designed to move students through a sales preparation and negotiation in a time sensitive cycle.

120- hour intense Business English curriculum for middle managers with materials developed focusing on meetings, presentations and negotiations.

SYSTEMIC CHANGE

 Service Delivery Change
Complete re-design of an outdated service delivery model for at risk youth in a residential setting. The new program was designed on current psychological and social skills research into a comprehensive multilevel yet integrated 5-month life skills training program.
An extensive 40-hour training curriculum, and training manual, was designed for all 40 unionized staff to understand and deliver the model.

IT Delivery Change
In collaboration with a S/W developer a new reporting and tracking program was developed. I further developed 10-hour training program and accompanying manual for all staff specifically aimed to facilitate quick adoption by staff.

Service Delivery - New
Another program was designed and developed for a 12-24-month residential program for severely at-risk youth. A 60-hour staff training curriculum, and training manual, was designed to train staff in day to day operations.

GOVERNMENT FUNDED

“Stagecraft Training Program”: New Westminster, BC           
Curriculum development and program proposal for a 6-month MEST funded program in cooperation with IATSE to provide a hands-on overview of live theatre production careers for unemployed youth. Course was designed as a combination of  career counselling, theatre theory, and practical experience in aspects of lighting, flying, costume, make-up, set building and  production positions.

“Smart Start Work Program” New Westminster, BC
Curriculum development  of an ongoing 2-month MEST funded program providing career skills, counselling and connecting student interest with work placement.

“Chef Training Program” Langley, BC
Curriculum development and program proposal for HRDC funded 6-month chef training program for unemployed youth. Worked with experienced chef’s to design a program that incorporated career skills, cooking theory and work experience placements.
